This $5000 OVERKILL Gaming PC features 32GB of RGB DDR4 memory, an INSANE 16-Core, 32-Thread Threadripper CPU and AMD Vega 64 graphics card, with 8GB of HBM 2 memory and an ASUS ROG cooler!
For the CPU in this build I selected the AMD Threadripper 1950X. This CPU has a base clock speed of 3.4Ghz, with a turbo speed of 4Ghz. This CPU is completely NUTS with 16 cores, and 32 threads, with 64 PCI-E lanes and an 180W TDP. The new Threadripper CPUs are so powerful they use a brand new CPU socket type, called TR4 and have a HUGE physical footprint.
To cool this monster CPU I selected the BRAND NEW Cooler Master MA621P. This new CPU cooler has been designed EXCLUSIVELY for Threadripper CPUs, such as the Threadripper 1900X, Threadripper 1920X or Threadripper 1950X. That makes it a perfect fit for today’s Threadripper gaming PC build, and it works very well. It’s also one of the best air coolers available with TR4 support, and includes 2 Cooler Master, 4-pin RGB fans. These fans normally cost $20 each, making this CPU cooler’s RRP of $80 seem very attractive!
For the motherboard in this build I chose the ASUS ROG STRIX X399-E Gaming motherboard. This motherboard boasts 8 RAM dimm slots, support for SLI and Crossfire, superb RGB integration, 3D printing support, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbit/s) and a host of other features! The motherboard looks EPIC too, with a large E-ATX footprint and all black aesthetic.
For the RAM in this build I selected 32GB of ADATA’s Spectrix RGB RAM. It boasts support for the ASUS Aura Sync software, working directly through the motherboard’s RAM dimm slot, with a sleek red heat-spreader design. The RAM also works well for overclocking and thus quad channel kit provides plenty of memory bandwidth for this 4K Gaming PC build!
For the graphics card in this build I selected the AMD Vega 64, this card featuring an ASUS ROG STRIX cooler, with 8GB of HBM 2 memory. This graphics card is not only sleek in its aesthetics, but also incredibly powerful for 4K video editing and 4K gaming, at high settings 60-100FPS! The graphics card also boats RGBs that look suoerb and a triple fan cooler design!
For storage in this build I chose a 500GB Samsung 960 M.2 drive. This 500GB drive works perfectly as your C: drive, for your windows operating system. It also fits nicely under the M.2 heatsink on the motherboard in this build, with read and write speeds in excess of 650MB per second! I also chose the Kingston Hyper X SAVAGE as the additional SSD, in a 480GB capacity for even more super fast storage!
For the case in this build I chose the BRAND NEW Cooler Master MC500Mt. This case boasts dual tempered glass side panels, a red motherboard plate, USB 3.1 Gen 2 on the front IO, an RGB power supply shroud, support for E-ATX motherboard and loads more, including an in-built fan controller, RGB controller and Cooler Master modular system. This Master Case 500 Maker, tempered glass edition is a superb case choice – even if it is a bit pricey!
For the power supply I kept it simple with the Cooler Master V850. This 850W unit is fully modular, with flat cables and 80+ Gold certified, super reliable and super efficient!
