A big classic that gets regularly played on almost all Zombie Escape servers for CS1.6. It’s a solid formula that always works, where you have a combination of ZM and ZE, escaping with a helicopter that, of course, first takes a few detours, just in case other humans had chosen different pickup points.

However, the only thing I don’t like about this map, is that almost always the same result plays out. All humans go to the top of the highest building, where the helicopter arrives first, then shoot down all zombies away to win. That’s nice, but a bit boring. I tried using a few other pickup spots, but it just didn’t work. If it was more balanced for zombies, more challenging scenarios could take place.

Regardless, it’s a fun map, and without a doubt, it’s a must-have-played.

GAMEPLAY MODE: Zombie Escape

Zombie Escape is a Source Mod that runs in CS, CS:S and CS:GO. The goal is to escape as a team (CT’s) from the infected (T) that get randomly chosen each round. During the escaping attempt, random and fixed events may happen that reward special items to aid in pushing back the zombies. If the team succeeds in surviving, they win and the zombies are slayed.

If the opposite is true, all humans will become infected and all hope is lost! Make sure to bring good teamwork to the table as you’ll need it to overcome some of the harder challenges such as boss battles and giant zombie hordes.
